Why are the comments turned off on a YouTube video?

YouTube comments are a great way for creators to view audience reactions and engage with them. Having a lot of comments is a good thing for your video. However, there are times when spammers can hijack your comments section. Sometimes you might find repetitive comments that are promoting other channels or services. This action might dilute the message from your genuine audience.

Similarly, your videos or channel may have haters who are not very kind to their critics. They might leave inappropriate messages in the comment section. There are even instances, when rival YouTubers would ask their subscribers to leave negative spam comments on your videos. In these cases, you can disable comments from your videos or channel.
